Fundraising Programs

Solace International has a history of successful grass roots fundraising events and programs. From the first event in 2002 on the tennis courts of the Alaska Club in Anchorage, Solace has brought its work and stories to people across the country. In the last seven years, staff and volunteers have held events in over thirty cities, across twelve states. If you wish to become an active Solace fundraiser, we have tools and support to help you tell Solace’s story, and encourage donations.

Solace staff can be available for video conferencing during small private events to answer questions. For large-scale events, Solace has an events management staff available to travel to your city to help organize and manage logistics. If you would like to hold your own event or program please contact Solace’s Fundraising Coordinator, Jaclyn Ralph.

In the field with Solace

Solace encourages any individual who raises or donates $15,000 or more to travel with staff into the field to witness firsthand how their funds are being spent.

Fundraising Programs for Youth

Many states have high school graduation requirements that include public service to a greater cause. Solace International has a program for young adults for the 2009-2010 academic year to help raise funds for a tractor program in Kenya. Support from Solace includes “Tractor Banks” for interested kids to use to collect funds, and an information packet to help them become informed on the topic. Any school or group of schools that meet the their fundraising target will be personally thanked via video conference or phone call by Nathaniel York.
